SafeLine at Interlift 2025 – Highlights and Takeaways

At the SafeLine Booth, we welcomed lift companies, building owners, OEMs, and modernization specialists for live demonstrations, in-depth technical discussions, and a relaxed environment with coffee, beer, soft drinks, and snacks available throughout the day.

A key focus in the booth was demonstrating how our solutions are connected through the SafeLine Orion Cloud IoT platform – with the SafeLine Nova controller, SL6 emergency phones, and monitoring units all communicating seamlessly within the same cloud-based ecosystem.

Why Interlift – and why SafeLine?

In critical environments such as hospitals, shopping centres, universities, and residential buildings, lifts are much more than transport. They are a vital part of operations – and every interruption has a direct impact on people.

During Interlift 2025, we highlighted SafeLine’s mission: to provide full control over the entire lift portfolio through:

 

• Real-time monitoring of operation and status

• Remote troubleshooting and interventions without unnecessary site visits

• Predictive diagnostics – identifying issues before they become downtime

• Cloud-based insights that simplify planning, reporting, and decision-making

 

With our open, vendor-independent solutions, we showed how operators can future-proof both existing installations and new projects – without locking themselves into a single supplier. A recurring topic in many discussions was the industry shift from 2G to 4G, and how SafeLine’s IP- and 4G-ready devices, together with Orion Cloud, help operators through this transition without compromising on safety or availability.

What we showcased live at Interlift

SafeLine now has more than 400,000 installed lift emergency telephones across Europe and a strong position in secure communication, control, and monitoring systems for lifts. At Interlift 2025, we demonstrated how our core areas connect into a complete, cloud-connected ecosystem – with Nova, SL6, and Lyra all reporting to the Orion Cloud platform.
 

SafeLine Communication

We presented advanced voice and data systems for emergency communication, remote access, and live diagnostics – fully compliant with EN 81-28 and compatible with any lift installation, including:
 

• Two-way emergency communication

• IoT connectivity via SafeLine Orion Cloud

• 4G-ready and future-proof solutions designed for the 2G–4G transition
   

SafeLine Control

Visitors were able to see smart, secure controllers and components that simplify installation and maximize flexibility – including SafeLine Nova:
 

• Vendor-independent architecture

• Modular upgrades – ideal for modernization projects

• Equally suited for new installations and retrofits

• Native connectivity to the Orion Cloud platform for remote access and configuration
   

SafeLine Monitoring

We also showcased how SafeLine Monitoring – driven by the Orion Cloud platform and Lyra units in the field – delivers real-time insights into a lift portfolio: usage, performance, and fault statistics, via encrypted, secure channels:
 

• Remote configuration and software updates

• Instant alarms and notifications

• Compatibility with both older and modern systems

• Centralized monitoring of Nova, SL6, and Lyra in the same Orion Cloud dashboard
   

SafeLine Evac – fire communication for lifts

Another highlight was SafeLine Evac, our solution for voice-guided fire communication in lifts according to EN 81-72, featuring:

• A discreet entrance station

• Remote-controlled evacuation mode

• Full system overview via display
   

New solutions launched at Interlift 2025

Interlift 2025 served as the launch platform for several new SafeLine products, with a clear focus on energy, digitalization, and future-proof emergency communication – all designed to work seamlessly with the Orion Cloud platform.
 

Smart energy monitoring with SafeLine Lyra & Orion

With SafeLine Lyra and SafeLine Orion, we demonstrated how easy it can be to measure and track lift energy consumption in real time. An integrated energy meter in the Lyra unit provides full control of kWh, voltage, current, and power factor – all visualised directly in the Orion platform.
 

Key benefits presented at the fair:
 

• Real-time data on energy consumption

• Historical trends in SafeLine Orion

• Reduced energy use and lower operating costs

• Support for sustainability targets and environmental reporting

• Simple installation at the main supply
   

2Sense – AI-powered multilingual communication inside the lift

One of the most discussed innovations at the stand was 2Sense – a new in-car solution with a touchscreen interface that enables passengers trapped in a lift to speak and have their dialogue translated in real time using AI.
 

With 2Sense, users can interact naturally in their own language, while the system supports the emergency call centre with clear, translated information on screen. This reduces stress for passengers, improves communication quality in critical situations, and helps ensure that the right actions are taken quickly – regardless of which language is spoken inside the lift.

Throughout the exhibition, SafeLine’s product and technical experts were available at booth A400 to:

• Demonstrate live systems in operation

• Answer technical questions regarding standards and regulations

• Help visitors find the right solution for their specific lift fleet
